University Bank’s Facebook page is designed to bring you up-to-date news and interesting information, and give you the ability to share your thoughts and ideas. We encourage you to share your thoughts, however, please keep in mind Facebook’s privacy and security policies, as well as our Community Guidelines.

Community Guidelines:


Protect Yourself: This is a public Facebook page. To protect your privacy and security, never provide any specific personal and/or account information as it could pose a risk to your account(s) or privacy. (i.e., SSN#, account #)

Respect Others: It’s OK if you disagree with a comment or posting, but please be respectful and treat others as you would like to be treated yourself. This includes using appropriate language that is not hateful, defamatory, abusive, or offensive to any user.

Be Specific: Only post comments that are closely related to the subject of the post. Off-subject posts will be removed. Posts that mention or promote external websites, non-controlled University Bank products/services, or other businesses will be removed.

Link(s): Posts containing links to non-controlled by University Bank websites will be removed.

No SPAM: Comments posted focusing on selling a product or service, or with the intent to inflate traffic to a particular website will be removed.

Work at University Bank? Great! Employees are welcome to comment on Facebook, but you must disclose your employment status. This disclosure can be as simple as “I work for University Bank”. Employees must also follow all University Bank policies when making these comments.

Direct Messages: University Bank will accept incoming messages from our Facebook Fan page that comply with our Community Guidelines. Do not send any account or personal information via Facebook.

Highlighting & Pinning Posts: Please be aware when you post on University Bank’s wall, University Bank may “pin” or “highlight” your comment and/or post at our sole discretion.

Need Help? If you’re a University Bank customer and have specific questions about your account or a service, we cannot answer them here on Facebook. If you have questions or concerns, please call customer service at 1-800-DO-TRY-US (1-800-368-7987), visit our website, or contact your local University Bank representative. We reserve the right to remove comments or posts, Users/Fans, and update our Community Guidelines at our sole discretion. We can also modify the Community Guidelines at any time by posting revised guidelines online.

Examples of posts/comments that will be removed include, but not limited to:

  • – Harassing, inappropriate, hateful, defamatory, abusive or offensive language;
  • – Personal attacks or threats on any person or organization;
  • – Copyright, trade secrets, and unlawful violations;
  • – Private or personal information;
  • – Illegal or fraudulent activity; or
  • – Anything relating to threats or actual legal litigation.

In addition to our Community Guidelines, you must also comply with the Terms of Use for University Bank’s website, which are equally applicable to access and use of University Banks Facebook page, and Facebook’s Terms of Service. By visiting our page, you agree to do the same.
